How to get better results from Marathi images

Clear, straight, well-lit images help AlgoOCR read characters and rebuild the document layout more accurately.

  • Photograph the page straight on

Hold the camera directly above or in front of the page. Crop out the background and avoid tilted or stretched edges.

  • Keep small characters sharp

Make sure vowel signs, punctuation, and small table labels are easy to see. Avoid blur, glare, deep shadows, and heavy compression.

  • Use one page per image

Upload up to three images in reading order. If your source is a PDF, use the Marathi PDF to Word converter instead.

Marathi image to Word FAQs

Common questions about supported images, Word output, translation, fonts, and conversion limits.

Can I choose which PDF pages to convert?

Yes. For PDF input, choose a From and To page range after upload. Image input is a single page. The free demo converts at most one page; Dashboard conversions use available Page Credits.

Which output formats are available?

Convert supported PDFs or images to Word (.docx), Excel (.xlsx), or Markdown (.md). Each dedicated converter page has the input and output format named in its title.

Which output page sizes are available?

For Word and Excel, choose Automatic (match source), A3, A4, A5, A6, B4 (JIS), B5 (JIS), Letter, Legal, Tabloid / Ledger, Statement / Half Letter, Executive, or Folio. Markdown has no page size setting.

Which page orientations are available?

For Word and Excel, choose Automatic, Portrait, or Landscape. Markdown has no page orientation setting.

Which output fonts are available?

For Word, choose Auto (Default), Mangal, Kokila, DVBW-TTSurekhEN, Kruti Dev 100, Times New Roman, Arial, Calibri, Georgia, Verdana, or Book Antiqua. Excel and Markdown do not offer an output font selector.

Can I include detected images?

Yes. Include detected images is on by default. Keep it on to attempt to place detected logos, signatures, stamps, and other figures in the output, or turn it off for text and document structure only.

Which translation languages are supported?

Choose None to keep the original language, or translate to English, Arabic, Bengali, Chinese (Simplified), Chinese (Traditional), Dutch, French, German, Greek, Gujarati, Hebrew, Hindi, Indonesian, Italian, Korean, Malayalam, Marathi, Persian, Russian, Spanish, Tamil, Telugu, Thai, Turkish, Ukrainian, Urdu, Vietnamese, Zulu.

Which Marathi image formats can I upload?

You can upload PNG, JPG/JPEG, and WebP images. PDF files are not accepted by this converter.

Does the converter create an editable Word file?

Yes. Each conversion creates a downloadable Word (.docx) file. AlgoOCR can rebuild headings, paragraphs, lists, tables, and reading order when the image is clear enough.

Can I translate the Marathi image to another language?

Yes. Leave Translate To set to None to keep the original language, or select a supported language to translate the Word file.

Do I need to select Marathi before converting?

No. AlgoOCR detects Marathi and mixed English text automatically. Translate To only controls whether the result keeps its original language or is translated to a supported language.

Which Word fonts can I choose for Marathi?

Choose Auto, Mangal, Kokila, or DVBW-TTSurekhEN. Auto uses Kokila for Devanagari text and Calibri for English text.

Can I convert more than one Marathi image?

Yes. Upload up to three images at once, with a combined size of 20 MB. The number converted in the free demo also depends on your remaining demo pages.

Can it keep tables and document structure?

AlgoOCR can reconstruct headings, paragraphs, lists, tables, and reading order when the image is clear enough. Always compare complex layouts or damaged text with the original image.

Can I upload a Marathi PDF here?

No. Use the separate Marathi PDF to Word converter for PDF documents. This converter accepts PNG, JPG/JPEG, and WebP images only.
